In October 2001, Lifia decided to support the development of a secure operating system based on and compatible with Linux. The idea was to improve Linux security mechanisms considering their security capacity as well as the development process. In this way, Lisex project was conceived. The first prototype, Lisex 0.0, was released in November 2002.

Lisex has been fully developed by GIDIS' personnel. Lisex was partially funded by Lifia.

The funding from Lifia has finished. Thus, GIDIS is seeking for partners, investors, sponsors or funding institutions interested in supporting the development of GIDIS Trusted Linux, the successor of Lisex.

This site features all Lisex documentation as well as the GPL-licensed software prototype. We apologize but most documentation is available in Spanish only. As soon as we can we will make it available in English as well.
