ISPI 2013 is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary event where technicians, scientists and businessman discuss field experiences, purchase, new results and ideas related to insulating materials used in electrical industry. This event will focus on all kind of insulating materials, from polymeric composite insulators to wire coating and insulating materials used in electrical machines.
One of the main objective of the symposium is the discussion of technical problems contemplating field experiences, methods and procedures for the characterization of materials and failure diagnosis, focused on how to reach procedures for preventive maintenance and improved manufacturing processes. Therefore, the ISPI 2013 is of particular interest for:
• Professionals involved in specification, standardization, selection, purchase management, testing, installation and maintenance of insulation materials for electrical lines and electrical substations, electrical machines, etc., working in energy companies, government agencies, consultant engineering and construction companies.
• Insulating manufacturers, and their representatives.
• Companies that manufacture or market instruments, or provide services for the maintenance of electrical insulators and high voltage.
• University laboratories, government laboratories and private companie's laboratories, that provides services of electrical insulating materials testing.
The invited lecturers to ISPI 2013 are renowned professionals both in the field of industry as well as in the academic. Professionals from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain and the United States of America, develop 22 talks.
ISPI 2013 is the 2nd Edition of this event which began in Rosario, Argentina September 6th and 7th 2011, with the ISPI 2011. In this first edition, the Symposium focused on the polymeric composite insulators. However, because of the excellent results of ISPI 2011, this year, the organizers have decided to extend the topics to all the insulating materials used in the electrical industry.
