The Workshop will take place at Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Ingeniería y Agrimensura de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Pellegrini 250, Rosario city.

Rosario is located in the middle-east of the national territory of Argentina, on the right side of the Paraná River. It is linked through highways with Buenos Aires (300 km), Córdoba (400 km) and Santa Fe (150 km).

The climate is template with a hot season between November and March and a cold season between June and mid-August. It rains more in summer than in winter, with an average between the 800 and 1000mm per year.

Transport

Airport

The International Airport of Rosario (IAR) is locates in the north-east of the city, around 15km far from downtown. There are two ways of arriving there by car, the National Route N°9 and the Jorge Newbery Avenue, both connected to Av. Circunvalación de Rosario.

Besides connections with different cities of Argentina, the IAR offers flights to international cities such as Montevideo, Lima and Porto Alegre (and connections). At the same time, the international flights made with Aerolineas Argentinas arriving to Rosario instead of Buenos Aires have the flight Rosario – Buenos Aires granted.

From Ezeiza and Aeroparque (Buenos Aires airports) there are mini-buses for rent that take the passenger at the airport straight to the passenger’s destiny point at Rosario. There are two enterprises that offer this kind of services, Manuel Tienda Leon and Van Travel. The cost of this mini-bus is about A$250 (to pay at the moment of taking the bus) and the reservation can be made with the flight information.

Access roads

The city is connected with the rest of the Santa Fe province and the whole country throughout a wide road net.

National Route N° 11: Santa Fe/Resistencia/ Formosa/Asunción del Paraguay.
National Route N° 9: Córdoba/Santiago del Estero/Salta.
National Route N° 33: Casilda/Bahía Blanca.
Highway P.E. Aramburu: Rosario/Buenos Aires/Capital Federal.
Highway Brigadier E. López: Rosario/Santa Fe.
Highway to Córdoba: Rosario/ciudad de Córdoba.
