PRECIRCULAR

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TEACHING OF SURVEYING

     This precircular has the purpose to inform you that Rosario city, Argentina (Latitud: 32º 57' S - Longitud: 60º 37' W), has been designed by the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) - Commission II (Professional Education) as the realization place of an International Symposium with proposed date on the third week of october of year 2000, destined to Professionals, Teachers and Pupils of Surveying.

     The event's organization has been initiated by the Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying Faculty's Surveying School of Rosario, with the collaboration of the Professional Surveying Colleges of Santa Fe and Entre Ríos provinces.

The Organizer Committee is conformed as follows:

  2. Kirsi Artimo - FIG Commission II Chairman.
  3. David Astegiano, Civil Eng. - Dean of the Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying Faculty.
  4. Eduardo Peralta, Geogr. Eng. - Director of the Faculty´s Surveying School.
  5. Norberto Frickx, Geogr. Eng. - President of the Santa Fe Province Professional Surveying College, South District.
  6. Hugo Zingaretti, Geogr. Eng. - President of the Santa Fe Province Professional Surveying College, North District.
  7. Francisco Alegre, Surveyor - President of the Entre Ríos Province Professional Surveying College.
  8. Raúl Alvarez, Surveyor - Topography and Cadastre General Director of Rosario Municipality.
  9. Aldo Mangiaterra, Geogr. Eng. - Surveying School's Geotopocartography Department's Director.
  10. Benito Vicioso, Surveyor - Surveying School's Territorial Arrangement Department's Director.
  11. Francisco Lattuca, Surveyor - Surveying School's Geological Sciences Department's Director.

Besides of the Organizer Committee, four workgroups were established:

  1. Executive group.
  2. Academic group.
  3. Protocolar group.
  4. Press & Diffusion group.

     On a near date, CIRCULAR #1 will be sent with the event's details: place and precise date of realization and other relevant information, such as the conditions for the presentation of works. We cordially invite all to participate.
